    @lafermedeshiboux tell me about it, I’m always saying the same. And our ‘to try’ list is pretty long too. You’ve done so much though, especially the cheese making and your sourdough looks amazing. We’ve just started making our own and while they taste good my loaves are coming out looking like flying saucers 🛸 so I need a bit more practice x

    @draycottagesmallholding Don’t worry, we also went through the flying saucer phase 😂. We found the key for a good shape for us is making sure our starter is really active (ours is rye), stretching and folding rather than kneading, shaping really tightly and a good long proof (often overnight in the fridge). But the main thing is the taste anyway! X

    @lafermedeshiboux that makes me feel better because yours looks amazing now! Do you bake it in a cast iron dish? Ours is a rye starter too, will try shaping it more tightly. I also think I need to perhaps prove it longer the second time too? Have been overnight proving. Did you just teach yourselves? X
